Why Context is Key for Your 2026 Decisions

“More”

Accept Limitations

What if I told you there’s so much more than this very moment? Seems obvious, right? How do you know there is “more” without first accepting your limitations? You don’t.

Many are leaving 2025 with eyes fixed ahead to the opportunity of 2026. Some are feeling reflective, grateful, inspired, & empowered. It’s important to check where we are right now because 2025 served as a great way to gain context. Without that important context, 2026 could be limited.

Context Matters

Context is everything. Why? Without context, you don’t have a full picture or vision.

Context answers the questions of Why, How, When, & with Who. Generally speaking, context allows ample opportunity to investigate before making a decision. If you’re making decisions today or in the coming days, it’s key to answer all of them —> for context!

Without correct context, your connection to truth is corroded.

Answer the Questions

For example, you have heard part of the conversation. But do you have the required context to join in the conversation? Were you IN the conversation or hearing it from another perspective? This is what happens when we don’t have the entire picture. Bits & pieces of the truth but not ordered completely to answer: What? Why? How? Who?

Many of us are going into 2026 with bits & pieces of lessons from 2025. It is important to make informed decisions after thorough investigation before making a conclusion.

Why Context Matters to Me

For me, I heard “there’s more”. I felt like it has been the sum total of my experience with God: There’s so much more. His word reminds me of this when He says:

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Takeaway

Whatever I think 2026 will bring, I must connect vertically (to God) first. Only then should I connect laterally (to man). Why? This will keep my truth in correct context. A strong vertical connection ensures that my truth will not be corroded. Connect well.

Hey Crystal, Great article on context and I agree we have to connect with God first. But check your redirect link it’s giving an error.
