Why “Broken Cisterns”?

This is something that’s near to my heart because I lived so much of my life operating on fumes but never feeling full. I remember being controlled by my emotions and the exhaustion of anxiety so well in fact that I wasn’t sure that I could recognize truth anymore. I spent a lot of my time and energy trying to “prove” that I had value when I began to recognize by the grace of God that all of my sources were not sustainable. That ultimately, I’d never be satisfied with anything OTHER than him.

That’s when he brought me to Jeremiah 2:13, where I learned about God’s heart toward the tendency of people to forsake him and turn to places that cannot sustain us.

This journey invites women to pause and ask: Where have I been pouring from? What have I been doing to be functional, but not full? Why am I depleted when I’m doing everything right? What emotional patterns are asking to be acknowledged, surrendered, and realigned with truth?

The liberty that comes with releasing control is indescribable. This isn’t about shame. It’s about awareness, recalibration, and returning to the true source of living water with real life practical applications shared from both my lived & learned experiences.
