EQ with Lou

So many of us are too comfortable with God. 

The thing that happens when you get too comfortable with God is that honor takes a second seat. 

I noticed this from both personal experience and observed experience. 

Getting too comfortable with someone that you’re in a relationship with causes you to change your perspective from a place of honor and gratitude to a place of obligation and expectation. 

Anytime these obligations and expectations are out of alignment with the truth of the original purpose of the relationship – you’re going off course.

As I’m in my car today riding, I found myself thinking about God….

Thinking about how things seem to be happening faster and faster, and the world seems to be even more chaotic and desensitized. 

My prayer is that rather than being desensitized to the atrocities we are seeing that we find ourselves being more sensitized to the things of God. 

There is a serious call back to holiness. 

There is an increase awareness of the frequency of which things are moving in the spirit.  If we are out of alignment, even 1° of what it is that God is called us to do.  To be in this world many have lost ourselves and have become too comfortable with God. 

A deep reverence for God, and a recognition of the power of God has been beating in our heart, but many of us have used entertainment, ego, or emotion as a way of lowering our heart rate and sensitivity. 

Yes, we know that God is the same God that he always has been and yes, we know that the character of God is unchanging. 

Yes, we know that God is faithful, and he is the author and the finisher of our faith, but hear me now people of God: 

The same way that everything seems to have an accelerated pace presently- It is happening, even that much more so in the spirit. 

We cannot afford to be out of tune or to the sound of God.  If you need to pause and recalibrate your odometer hear my encouragement to do so otherwise you are headed left and you don’t even realize that you are. 

There are sound voices, but there is always only one true sound. Every voice that is speaking is not of God. 

If you never spend any time with God and are not in relationship or habit of practicing his presence and sitting with him- – you will be a decade or two or three behind, and you will be responding to the old FROM the old. 

So what do we do? 

Sit with him and engage in your transformation. Be an active participant in the declarations and proclamation of your own life

Remember that your words have power and in the words of one of my leaders, your thoughts are SEED. 

What fruit will you yield? 

What cut or cuts do you need to make so that the fruit you yield is from God and not of the world? 

Yes, this is a sobering word it is severe.

But make no mistake as loving and compassionate and merciful as our God is, we will each be held accountable for the words which we speak 

Those of us who have heard of the life-saving truth of Jesus Christ will be held responsible for what we did with that information. 

We cannot, and we will not be people who are in competition with one another because things of the kingdom are not territorial. 

so please hear this morning. Do not be too comfortable with the presence of the Lord. 

Aaron was a priest, and he was held in highest by the people and God, but that did not mean that his sons were allowed to exercise unauthorized the fire at the altar in the presence of the Lord. 

Many are offering an unauthorized fire at this time. 

Unauthorized fire means that you are offering a sacrifice to the Lord and ultimately each of us is going to be held responsible for this. 

We must find ourselves, considering every offering that we are giving because Jesus died on the cross as our ultimate redemption so that we would no longer have to make those sacrifices, but hear me now worship without sacrifice is only a performance! 

We cannot operate and perform as though we have not already been authorized as a royal priesthood! 

We cannot operate on the favor of our family. In this world. We must operate on the favor of our heavenly father, the alpha, and the Omega, the one who knows the end from the beginning. 

We cannot continue to operate from the past with blind obedience where we are following anyone and everyone! 

The word says that no man can serve to masters-

That we cannot serve both

We will  love one and despise the other. 

Let this serve as a personal reminder to each of us not to be too comfortable with God. 

Let us put him back in his reverential place in our heart and in our lives. 

If this word stings,  I am not sorry because even as I am writing it, it stings me some too. 

I am writing this because I am feeling empowered by the spirit and I know that I can no longer remain silent as I watch as we go off course. 

We must operate as Ezra and be resolved to the things of the Lord. This means it has been decided. This means it is. This means the Lord is the great I am. 

Do not let yourself observe and operate from a place of old. 

You must get up! You are not dead. 

You are alive!  You are healthy! You are well. 

It is time people of God to return God back to his holy rightful place. 

 

Having a relationship with God is not just for the people who are in the pulpits 

It is for the common people- the sick, the unwell. Those of us who know that we need God for redeeming grace. It is for those of us who know that we are not perfect and that without his guidance we will  thoroughly perish. 

It is for those of us who humble ourselves, knowing that we are not the wisest in the room, and knowing that we must seek the wise counsel of the Lord. 

It is for those who are about to know that we must prune, and we must be mindful so that when we prune off the excess, it is for our next.  We have survived the threshing floor and we are grounded and rooted planted firmly in God.
