Where can you reduce clutter in your life?
Clutter…it lends itself to overcrowding or full beyond capacity, so when I think about where I can reduce clutter in my life I immediately think of my mind.
I don’t know if it’s because I work in mental health, because I enjoy learning, or because I love organizing ideas and creating strategies- but I’d definitely say my mind.

Sometimes my mind feels like there are so many things I HAVE to do that I don’t always get to do the things I WANT to do. Sound familiar? I didn’t even realize it until I had the opportunity to really be by myself. Suddenly I was left alone with ALL of my thoughts…& there were so many I couldn’t keep one day straight from the next. You can imagine this affected the quality of my life greatly. So, I did what any rationale minded person would do: I painted.
Yep, you read that right! When I paint and create with just about any medium it seems to clear my head. I hope everyone is able to have something like this. In fact, I find myself preparing for the “clearing” of my head before I even leave for work in the morning.
How? By making sure my paint, my sketchbook, my pencils, and all the things I might want are readily accessible. Why? Because after talking with people all day, I have to catch it, check it, & change it if I’m going to truly have a renewed & transformed mind!
