💚No one talks about the experience of getting off work after a 10/12 hour day of listening to other people’s trauma, difficulties, & pain…
💚No one is talking about the drive home after you leave work when you “planned” to make that one call to your friend- but you’re too mentally exhausted to do so.
💚No one is talking about the few moments when you walk through the door nearly unfocused after being completely “on” & hyper focused all day.
💚No one is talking about the warm greeting of silence, a hot meal, & a slow burning candle as you try to drop the things you’ve heard….
💚No one is talking about how SO many people are REALLY struggling & you might be sitting next to them on the bus, at the red light, or in line at the grocery store.
💚No one is talking about children who are contemplating killing themselves or others…
💚No one is talking about the mother who gave birth to a child she can’t form a bond with because of depression.
💚No one is talking about the man who can’t seem to keep on “keeping on” at work, at home, and in general.
💚No one is talking about the way that there are so many people who lack language to describe what they’re feeling.
💚 No one is talking about the college student who is failing classes & smoking weed to get from one minute to the next.
💚No one is talking about how they walk around in fear of anxiety striking yet again.
💚No one is talking about the stress people are facing of having to choose to pay the power bill or buy medicine.
❌No one. I mean no one- but I want to set the record straight- there ARE people talking.
‼️Men, women, children, school professionals, pastors, teachers, politicians, community leaders, the homeless person on the side of the road, & maybe even the person you’re sitting next to.
‼️They are talking to US. They are telling US their reality, & no, we know we aren’t God and we can’t fix it- but by God’s grace we can partner with you and hold your hand- reminding you that you are NOT alone. ‼️
💚 Suicide is NOT an option.
