Tough…

What’s your all-time favorite album?

I’ll start by saying that my favorite album depends on my mood- but if I had to choose one, I’d say Walk the Line, by Ben L’Oncle Soul. I discovered his music a few years ago and I really enjoy his unique sound! I’m not a music expert by any means so I’m taking the humble amateur path here as I venture to say that he sounds like his music is rooted in love, emotional exploration, and articulates the experience of being human.

Whenever I listen to ANY of his albums, I enjoy the variety and even more so the journey. It reminds me of life itself and seems to depict the way so many of us are out here truly trying to live life. I imagine that his music is the type of music I could put on in just about any room and it could be a background or a featured sound. Sometimes I feel hope, love, inquiry, struggle, and even honesty.

Music has a way of connecting the dots between our hearts, heads, & hardships. In a world that constantly is causing us to be more sensitive to hardship around us, music has a way of giving to life our spirit.

May our spirits listen well.
